COURSE CONTENT:
Year 10 Extension English is designed for students who enjoy the study of literature and want the opportunity to explore their creative and analytical skills in preparation for SACE or the IBDP. The subject is focused on making interpretations of texts, and examining the relationships between readers, writers and circumstances across place and time.

Students have the opportunity to look at a wide variety of texts and develop their ability to analyse and communicate in a range of styles and genres.

This course is recommended for students who intend to study Stage 1 Language and Literature Studies in year 11.

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.
