RECOMMENDED BACKGROUND:
It is recommended students have studied Stage 1 Integrated Learning – Fitness in order to be successful in this full year course.
COURSE CONTENT:
Students demonstrate application and development of their knowledge, concepts and skills in fitness undertaking a number of practical inquiry activities. Students participate in the activity which gives them the best opportunity to demonstrate their initiative, leadership and collaboration, and develop their Critical and Creative Thinking capability as well as their Personal and Social capability.
Students demonstrate application and development of their knowledge, concepts and skills in an aspect of fitness by designing, undertaking and evaluating a fitness program. Students plan, implement and reflect on a community-based program (local primary school class, a fitness program for the school community, sporting club or local gym fitness session for the wider community, or for the year 7s). Students explore, research, analyse and investigate and chosen area of interest relating to fitness.
