COURSE CONTENT:
The Year 10 Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum focuses on four key areas of history, geography, civics and citizenship and economics. Students engage in a range of specific topics across the year in order to develop broader understanding of the world and the societies and cultures that have shaped it over time.
In IGNITE, students are provided open-ended assessment opportunities with the option to extend and personalise their learning to suit areas of strength. The study of core subjects in IGNITE is interrelated with the development of personal skills in the area of critical thinking, communication, logic and reasoning and social and emotional well-being.
ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the achievement standards of the Australian Curriculum. Students complete a range of written, spoken and multimodal assessment pieces across the year. . For more information, click here.
