Year 10 Design and Technologies – Metalwork

COURSE CONTENT:
In Year 10 Metalwork, you will develop practical skills in welding, metal machining and bench work while working with a range of tools, equipment and machinery. Through hands-on projects, you will learn how to safely shape, join and finish metal components to create quality products. You will also follow the design process by investigating opportunities, generating ideas, planning solutions, constructing projects and evaluating your work. As you build your skills, you will develop confidence in problem solving, precision manufacturing and creating solutions that meet a specific need or purpose.

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.
