Year 10 Curriculum Overview
Compulsory Subjects
All Aberfoyle Park High School Year 10 students undertake a combination of compulsory and elective subjects.
Year 10 students complete Exploring Identities and Futures, a compulsory SACE Stage 1 subject, and the following compulsory Year 10 South Australian Curriculum subjects:
- English (full year)
- Health and Physical Education (one semester)
- Humanities and Social Sciences [HASS] (one semester)
- Mathematics (full year)
- Science (full year)
- Stage 1 Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF) (one semester – 10 SACE credits)
IGNITE students complete the compulsory subjects outlined above, differentiated for gifted learners. For more information, please follow this link to the APHS IGNITE Program.
Year 10 Elective Subjects
Year 10 students select five elective subjects in order of preference (1-5). Full year elective subjects must be selected as two consecutive preferences.
