COURSE CONTENT:
In this subject, students demonstrate understanding, fluency, problem solving and reasoning over a range of mathematical topics, as described by the South Australian Curriculum.

These include:

• Number and Algebra (number and place value, real numbers, money and financial mathematics, patterns and algebra, linear and non-linear relationships);
• Measurement and Space (using units of measurement, shape, location and transformation, geometric reasoning); and
• Statistics and Probability (chance, data representation and interpretation).

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.

Student assessment will be based on a combination of skills and applications tasks and folio tasks. Contextual problem solving and real-life examples will be accessed to develop student understanding, fluency and reasoning.
