COURSE CONTENT:
History
Students will undertake a study on how opposing ideologies can cause major conflict. This study allows students to ask questions about the importance of change and challenging existing ideologies.
This unit focuses on capabilities such as Critical Inquiry and Ethical Understanding to encourage students to question what is happening in the world today not just what happened in the past.
Geography
Students focus on Human Rights and human well-being and the chance to make informed and sustainable responses to issues that are critical to reduce inequality.
Students develop an understanding of the sustainability of diverse environments locally and globally.
Capabilities gained through this unit of work include Critical Inquiry and Intercultural Understanding.
ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.
