Year 7 Curriculum Overview

All students in Year 7 in 2026 will study the following South Australian curriculum subjects for a FULL YEAR:

• English
• Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
• Languages:
  • Year 7 Japanese
  • Year 7 Spanish
• Mathematics
• Science
• Music Specialist (only if selected at enrolment)

Also, all students in Year 7 in 2026 will study the following South Australian curriculum subject for one SEMESTER:

• Health and Physical Education

In addition, students in Year 7 in 2026 will study 6 of the following 8 subjects in 10 week blocks:

At the end of Year 7 in 2026, two subjects from the above list of 8 Arts and Technologies subjects will not have been studied.

These two subjects will be included in the students’ 2027 Year 8 timetable, together with the ability to choose a further two semesters of a range of elective Arts and Technologies subjects.
