COURSE CONTENT:
The Year 10 English curriculum is built around the three interrelated strands of Language, Literature and Literacy. Along with these strands there is a focus on developing knowledge, understanding and skills in reading, viewing, writing, speaking, listening and creating. Year 10 English continues to build upon the concepts and skills taught in Year 8 and 9. In this course, students will interact individually and in groups with literature and everyday texts in various forms and contexts including the local community.
In IGNITE, students are provided open-ended assessment opportunities with the option to extend and personalise their learning to suit areas of strength.
