COURSE CONTENT:
In this course, you will have the opportunity to explore a range of workshop skills such as planning and designing , CAD drawing, welding and machining, as well as general metalwork and fabrication. You will be encouraged to bring your designs and metal creations to life as you design and construct a major practical project showcasing your talent and innovation. Assessment will be based on a range of practical and theoretical assignments that will push your metalworking skills to new heights.
Note: An “A” and “B” course is offered at this year level with the intention to provide students with a greater opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in this learning area and to better prepare for Stage 2. Please note these courses are different, and there is no requirement for students to do “A” before “B”. Students can choose either or both.
ASSESSMENT:
Students provide evidence of their learning through three assessment tasks.
