Year 8 Design and Technologies: Materials (elective)

COURSE CONTENT:
In Design and Technologies Materials, students will have the opportunity to explore and enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of various materials, tools, equipment, and processes. They will receive instruction to use a wide range of tools, machines, and equipment safely and effectively. Through completing practical tasks and exercises involving sheet metal and wood, students will develop their problem-solving abilities and knowledge in design, construction, and evaluation.
They will further reinforce their learning through both written and hands-on tasks.
ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.
