Year 7-8 Arts Rotation: Art

COURSE CONTENT:
In Art students will have the opportunity to explore a range of diverse materials including at least one 2D and one 3D project. Materials may include painting, drawing, print making, paper sculpture and/or ceramics. Students will explore, discuss and critically analyse a range of artworks from different times, places and cultures including Aboriginal Australian and Asian cultures.

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.

Each task will require some elements of bookwork and planning to record ideas and work through personal responses. Resolved artworks will be assessed on application of selected materials and techniques and written or verbal evaluations in which students reflect on their learning.
