COURSE CONTENT:

Technologies explores three focus areas:

• Food and Fibre Production
• Digital Technologies
• Materials and Technologies Specialisations.

In Year 7 Technologies, you will get hands-on with real challenges and learn how to solve problems. You will develop your skills in coding and robotics, create useful items from textiles, try new recipes while learning about healthy eating, and work with materials like wood and metal. Throughout each unit, you will investigate, design, make and improve your ideas, learn to work safely, use resources wisely, and think creatively and sustainably about how technology can make a difference.

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.
