COURSE CONTENT:
The Year 8 English curriculum is built around the three strands of Language, Literature and Literacy. There is also an emphasis on developing expression, grammar, punctuation, spelling and clarity of ideas.
Students will be exposed to a range of texts, both shared and independent, including novels, plays, poetry, short stories and films, as well as extracts and examples from electronic and print media.
