Students will learn about expansions, conflict and contact between ancient society and the influence this had on those societies internally as well as externally.
The Critical Inquiry and Personal and Social capabilities will be developed, together with the ability to find resolutions to problems and identify different perspectives in history.
Geography
Students investigate natural resources and their availability and sustainability. This is done through studying the living world, examining not only availability of these resources but also the economic, and social impact on places and their continued liveability for people.
A cultural connection investigation focuses on the influence and significance of places and resources for people.
The Critical Inquiry capability will be developed through concentrating on the intercultural understanding of these precious resources.
Civics and Citizenship
Students study government and democracy, laws and citizens and citizenship, diversity and identity. They focus on Australia’s constitution and how it shapes democracy, how the legal system aims to provide justice, and diversity, identity and social cohesion.
