Stage 2 Workplace Practices

COURSE CONTENT:
In Workplace Practices students develop knowledge, skills, and understanding of the nature, type and structure of the workplace. They learn about the changing nature of work, industrial relations, legislation, safe and sustainable workplace practices, and local, national, and global issues in an industry and workplace context.
Students choosing this subject are required to undertake 50-60 hours of relevant work placement in which they develop and reflect on their capabilities, interests, and aspirations. The subject may include the undertaking of Vocational Education and Training (VET) as provided under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
The focus of this course is on the SACE Capabilities and Employability Skills: Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, Creative and Critical Thinking, Personal and Social Capability, Ethical Understanding and Intercultural Understanding.
