FIP: Certificate III in ICT Cyber Security

RECOMMENDED BACKGROUND: Year 10 Digital Technologies A and/or Year 10 Digital Technologies B
REQUIREMENTS:
Students must be in year 11 at course commencement. Completion of VETRO process with a registered training organisation (RTO), providing evidence of communication skills (including digital literacy), career awareness (understanding of pathways), basic industry skill awareness and an aptitude for learning.
COURSE CONTENT:
The Certificate III in Information Technology undertaken in a Flexible Industry Program (FIP), is delivered in partnership with the Adelaide Institute of Business Technology (AIBT) and provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a wide range of general information and communications technology (ICT) systems and processes. This particular course will have a Cyber Security focus and is delivered in the schools new Cyber Range. Units undertaken as part of the qualification include introductory programming techniques, cyber security risk management and threat assessments and assorted other transferrable ICT skills. ASSESSMENT:
Competency based assessment against national accredited training package. Competencies will be confirmed via a Training Plan from the RTO.
