Year 9 Art A

COURSE CONTENT:
In Year 9 Art students will have the opportunity to delve deeper into topics and materials that interest them through an independent and self-directed learning task where they select a topic of interest to explore through chosen materials and media. They will also complete teacher directed tasks balanced between Visual Art and Graphic, Illustration and Product Design in preparation for year 10. They will learn to use visual thinking routines and the design process to analyse works from a variety of Art/ Design Movements, times and cultures to develop personal responses in media which may include pencil and dry media, clay, paint, lino printing and digital art tools.

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.

Assessment tasks include folio (process), presentation of final practical works and Art theory work.
