COURSE CONTENT:
The Year 7 English curriculum provides a range of engaging experiences aimed at developing students’ appreciation of the English language and the importance of developing their own written and spoken communication skills. The course involves the study of a range of texts such as novels, poetry, and informative texts. Part of the course also involves students producing a range of creative texts that enable them to experiment with language.

Throughout the year, students also undertake grammar lessons, reading fluency activities and continue to develop their editing skills. Proficiency in the use of technology will be developed to enhance students’ communication skills.

ASSESSMENT:
Students are assessed based on the concepts, capabilities and dispositions of the South Australian curriculum.
