COURSE CONTENT:
The SACE Stage 2 English course is well suited to students who enjoy both analysing and creating texts.
Throughout the course, students analyse how ideas and perspectives are expressed through texts and examine how authors use text conventions and stylistic choices to achieve purpose and guide audience response. Furthermore, students will consider how various social, cultural, economic, historical, and political perspectives influence the representation of human experience and the world around us. Furthermore, students will create texts that make considered and strategic use of language features and conventions to achieve specific purposes, targeting certain audience groups and considering relevant contexts.
ASSESSMENT:
Assessment at Stage 2 is school based and external. The following assessment types enable students to demonstrate their learning.
